The term “guerrilla” began to be used in Spain after the invasion of Napoleon Bonaparte. This conflict is between an army composed of soldiers of the profession and civilians. Therefore, it is an unequal war. This causes the attacks to be by means of tactics. The purpose of running for tactics is the harassment and attrition of the enemy.
In the "maquis" are taken as techniques: attacks fast and surprise, as before mentioned; infiltration and intercept communications, blasting facilities, bridges and roads, capturing weapons and provisions. All this have done so for several purposes throughout history. For example, for the year 1960 the purpose was national liberation. For this reason, United States Department of Defense and other treaties considered this conflict as low intensity movements, by the lack of territory to control and govern. This conflict has to happen in an area of difficult access. We also can say that the guerrilla movement is a movement that goes through three phases, the first is the mobilization of the peasantry and the establishment of the Organization, the second consists in the establishment of bases rural and increased coordination between the guerrillas and the third is the transition to a conventional war.
I think the "guerrilla" as a mechanism for much boldness and agility. Perhaps a little weaker than other wars, but with the same purpose to conquer or to bring about a transformation. This war, as the others, claims lives. Therefore, I do not consider it better or worse. But nothing, down attached them the link to a video on the guerrillas in Colombia.
